Ermis meets my camera

Isn’t it really funny when you ‘introduce’ pets to objects that are not used to come across? Little lights and sounds and moves can really puzzle them and that’s when my piece of fun starts!

The other day I was chilling with my cousin in his apartment, so I decided to mess around with his dog Ermis by sticking my camera in his face and taking some shots.

Nevertheless, my artistic ‘flair’ was not overthrown by the frivolousness of the situation ….yes…right…

And now, for the first time in fotoparat, a really bad taste video!!! Enjoy Ermis and Manos performing an aria of an opera I can not remember right now. I hope the administrators won’t fire me for this...(please)

Music Season for Athens: Ejekt Festival 09

Most people that don’t live in Greece and at some point come here as tourists during the summer, especially the ones who come from the northern ‘corners’ of the globe, go back home reminiscing the lovely weather, the sun, blah blah blah…

You people don’t realize that it is not exactly the case for us. Trust me! It can be really frustrating having to go to work when the weather is THAT warm. And even more, you have to count days for the two lousy weeks of vacation that you’ll get…if you’re lucky…

This is a typical thing that you come across during the plenty concerts that take place in Athens, especially during June. You just stand in the audience and listen to the musicians yapping about the great weather here in Greece…

Enough with the complaining and straight to the point. This summer, among other interesting gigs I was lucky to watch, I went to a 2-day festival that has been taking place in Athens for the last few summers. This year Ejekt festival was held in the old Athens Airport in Elliniko.

I tried to do my best in taking some pictures, but I bet you know how difficult that can be if you are stuck in a jumping crowd…So there we go!

Thai Boxing in Xanthi

Last Saturday I traveled to the city of Xanthi for the needs of my work. My task was to stream a Thai Boxing tournament live through the internet.

The event started with a short but impressive exhibition from children athletes.

After that, it was time for some real fighting. Round 3!

1-2-3 Fight!

The coaching team watches closely.

Giving instructions and courage during the break.

Moments before the next round.

Being for a first time on such event, I was impressed by the amount of energy unleashed on the ring.

Female fighters showed the same, if not greater passion.

But what impressed me more was the ability of the athletes to be friends again, after the wild fighting.

I was also impressed by the delicate moves of the feet, that resembled those of a dancer.

Last but not least, I was impressed by the new collection of swimsuits that were displayed.
